Tommy Gun becomes a father again from behind bars
He will be back in the dock on August 3 to face three additional charges
Controversial Boksburg boxer Thomas “Tommy Gun” Oosthuizen and girlfriend Franzelle Fourie have welcomed baby girl Zianc’e.
According to Oosthuizen, who announced the news on social media, the new arrival’s name is pronounced Zianke.
The little girl was born on July 20.
Oosthuizen, who missed the birth of his second child as he is in custody at the Boksburg Correctional Services for an assault case,” said: “It (missing the birth) is a tough pill to swallow at this time, but I’m grateful she’s healthy. I appreciate Franzelle being strong at this time for the both of us.”
The former multiple International Boxing Organisation champion was arrested in March after he allegedly attacked the complainant at a Boksburg pub late last year after the man made a joke directed at the boxer.
The pugilist made an appearance in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court on July 20 and was ordered to make another appearance in the dock on August 3, to face three additional charges.
In a heartfelt tribute to end his soliloquy, Oosthuizen sent his love to the mother of his son, Fourie.
His boxing record stands at 28-3-2, with 16 of his 28 wins coming via knockout.
