Chairperson of the local Round Table Jean-Claude Duarte explained that they want to help medical workers as they are working on the frontline of the virus.

“The organisation received amazing support from our fellow Round Tables, namely, Round Table Krugersdorp 48 who distributed to several clinics within their community and Round Table Roodepoort 162 who donated their face shields to the Gateway Village in Roodepoort.

“We also received some great support from the community, which enabled Round Table Boksburg 17 to donate 36 face shields to the Boksburg Civic Clinic who were in dire need,” the chairperson explained.

Jean-Claude said the combined efforts saw them raising R9 400, which allowed the Table to purchase 190 high quality protective face shields for frontline healthcare workers.
