A 40-year-old waitress got a shock of her life after a customer she served allegedly said he doesn’t have money to pay after ordering food, drinks and red wine.
The incident happened in one of the food stores in East Rand Mall on March 3.
According to Boksburg North police spokesperson Const Justice Ramaube, when the 56-year-old customer was given his bill after eating, he allegedly ignored the waitress.
“When the waitress informed him about his bill again, he then told her that he doesn’t have money to pay,” Ramaube said.
Police were then called to attend to the complaint.
Ramaube said before the man could be arrested another person alleged that the man was being sought by other restaurants in Boksburg for eating without paying.
