Blood drive at Sunward Christian Academy a success

The school thanked those who supported the event and said that it is a way for them to give back to the community.

Sunward Christian Academy hosted yet another fruitful SANBS blood donation drive on February 21.

This time, a total of 20 units were donated.

Sello Namo, donor care officer for the SANBS, described the event as a success compared to the last blood drive held at the academy.

School principal Leon van der Westhuizen, Tommy and Danielle Ackerman are saving lives by donating blood.

The donor care officer, however, noted that they received more blood from teachers than students during this blood drive.

He urged parents to encourage their children to become blood donors as this important resource is always in high demand.
