Three suspects rob elderly woman inside her Witfield home

No arrests have been made yet.

A 64-year-old woman was robbed inside her home by three men who forced the door of the house open to gain entry.

The robbery happened at about 1pm on January 28 in Lowther Street, Witfield.

Boksburg North police spokesperson Const Justice Ramaube said the woman was in her bedroom when she heard a loud bang.

“The woman thought it was the dogs barking, but when she heard the loud bang for the second time she went to look. She then came across two men who were allegedly carrying house breaking implements and one of them holding a crowbar,” Ramaube said.

Ramaube said the woman was told not to make noise.

The suspects allegedly went to the woman’s room to look for jewellery, but couldn’t find any.

The men then stole her two televisions and a Samsung Galaxy A30 cellphone.

A case of house robbery was opened at the Boksburg North SAPS.
