SPCA Christmas Cheer Fund gains momentum

This year, the donations opened early November and will run until the end of January.

The Boksburg SPCA Christmas Cheer Fund is in full swing and donations are slowly coming in.

The aim of the Christmas Cheer Fund is to raise money to cater for all the furry friends that need to be fed and supported, especially with the SPCA experiencing an influx of pets over the Christmas period.

These are the first few donations received:

  • Fourie Zelda R240 (To all the doggies from Cassie, Lexie, Bella and Benji)
  • Hart – R10 000
  • Zarah – R80 (in memory of Captain)
  • Twanet and Adriaan R100 (in memory of Klaus)
  • Virgin Active R1000
  • Claudia Slunner R1 500.00 (in memory of Armindo Marques).

The community is encouraged to get involved by supporting the drive for the well-being of pets through donations, and with the understanding that no amount is too small.

Donations can be dropped off at the society’s premises, Railway Street, Boksburg, or by depositing them into the bank account: Boksburg SPCA, Absa Bank, Eastlands Branch 630442, account number 4046388139.

Beneficiary reference: Christmas Cheer and your name/anonymous (it’s important to state that the payment is for the Christmas Cheer Fund).

Fax a copy of your proof of payment, including your optional short message, to the Boksburg SPCA on 011 916 5908.

Also, email the proof of payment, with your short message, to ntombis@caxton.co.za, so that all sponsors, be they individuals, schools, organisations or businesses, can be recognised in the Advertiser.
