Fitness model Willemse bags a silver medal at SA Extreme

Willemse competed in the Bikini Fitness over 1.72m and the over 35 (age) categories and finished as the runner-up in both divisions.

Boksburg fitness model Cindy Willemse had to settle for silver at the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) SA Extreme event in Cape Town on September 28.

Explaining proceedings to the Advertiser, Willemse said: “We were posing front, quarter turn and back, then they’ll rotate us, then back forward. It was a tough one, but I nailed it.

“I must say, the girls my age group proved to be a tough line-up, they kept us on stage like forever. Then after the line-up after us, three of us in our line-up were called back and the battle started again.

“But I’m very happy, my peak and conditioning were on point. This is by far the best I’ve ever looked,” she said before paying tribute to her support structure.

“I must be honest and say that I have a solid team of people with me who are always watching my back. Pose/bikini/styling guru and very special friend Jolene Levinson from Tweak Always and the best coach, Lance Jacobson from One Eighty Degrees. He knows exactly how to fuel my body.

“And of course, my family. This sport is one of the most extreme sports, so a support system is very important. I had friends who went to Bali and France messaging me the whole time.”
