Sanca Horzion officially opens new adolescent facility

The Sanca Horizon team consists of a multidisciplinary group of experts to help patients meet the challenges of recovery and treatment.

Sanca Horizon Clinic in Plantation recently officially opened their new Hlengwani (restoring lives) Adolescent Facility.

Hlengwani will accommodate around 12 young people between 12 to 17 years of age.

Sanca felt the need to expand its services, complimenting the other adolescent facility called The Bridge.

The centre has been in existence since 1961 and was established for treatment of alcoholism. In 1989, the centre expanded to treatment of other chemical substances.

During the 90’s the need for specialised treatment for teenagers resulted in a successful out-patient programme for teenagers to be established.

In 1999 the Bridge Adolescent In-Patient Facility for boys and girls was opened.
