Swanepoel returns to hexagon in lightweight division
Swanepoel’s last appearance in the hexagon was at EFC 74 last October.
Van Dyk Park fighter Robert ‘9mm’ Swanepoel will return to cage action at EFC 81 scheduled to take place at the Time Square Casino in Pretoria on August 10.
The lightweight bout, which will see Swanepoel face-off against Given Majuba, will be Swanepoel’s third from his six-fight EFC contract he signed early last year.
He is yet to pick up a win in the EFC hexagon, with his current record reading 0-2.
With pressure to register his first win growing, Swanepoel was quizzed on how he’s handling the mounting pressure.
He said: “I do feel a bit of pressure to get my first win, but I don’t think about it too much. I want the win, so I’m training harder than ever before and I have to trust my training on the night,” said the 36-year-old.
