Women to raise funds this Sunday for two organisations in Boksburg

The group is in the process of registering their organisation as a non-profit organisation.

A group of women from Commissioner Street in Boksburg have teamed up to make a difference in the lives of children in Boksburg.

The group consists of 11 women who call themselves Basadi Ba Kopane, which means “women have gathered”.

On June 2, they will be hosting a high tea fund-raiser to raise money for Zandi’s Angels Orphanage Home and Heaven Sent safe house run by Kuselo Child and Youth Care Services in Boksburg North.

The event will be held at the Baptist Church in Market Street.

Tickets will be sold for R150.

According to Lebai Sethoko, they decided to donate to these two organisation because they saw a need to lend a helping hand to make a difference.

“We will be donating winter school uniforms to seven children from Zandi’s Angels Orphanage Home who are still in school. We will also buy groceries for the Heaven Sent safe house,” Sethoko said.

Attendees can look forward to a day of fun with informative speakers who’ll be educating attendees on various topics.

The group has hosted similar events recently where they bought school uniforms for children from various schools in Boksburg and hosted a Mother’s Day event.

To purchase tickets for the day you can contact Sethoko on 064 359 1791 or Mathebe Motaung on 073 451 0962.
