Property agency donate R16 000 to SPCA
The money will be put to good use towards the SPCA's outreach programmes and much more
Local real estate agency Aïda Boksburg donated R16 000 to the Boksburg SPCA on March 12.
In 2017, they also donated R16 000 to the SPCA’s Christmas Cheer Fund in support of all the furry friends during the festive season.
The donation was made possible with the support of their sponsors, namely, Hammond Pole Attorneys, Bavin Incorporated, Tuckers Incorporated and BetterBond Home Loans.
Lesley Pountain from Aïda Boksburg said: “The SPCA is always in dire need of donations, especially when their kennels are filled to capacity, resources are strained and running costs are constant.
“Instead of making a food donation, we decided to hand a cheque over to the Boksburg SPCA for them to utilise funds as required.
“We thank our sponsors because without them we wouldn’t have pulled this off.”
Denver Ramnath, managing director at Aïda Boksburg, said this was their second year of donating to the SPCA, and planned to make annual donations.
“This donation is our way of giving back to the community and thanking the public for their support.
“I thank Lesley Pountain for initiating this sponsorship and we thank our sponsors who answered when we called,” Ramnath said.
Boksburg SPCA manager Maggie Mudd was grateful for the donation.
