A fatal crash just after 3.40pm yesterday (February 28) claimed the life of a young woman in her 20s at the corner of Van Wyk Louw and Trichardts roads.
According to the Boksburg station manager, Daine Jones, Disaster and Emergency Management Services (DEMS) rescue crew arrived on the scene and found the two vehicles, a light motor vehicle and a taxi, had collided.
“Three people in the taxi were treated and transported to the Sunshine Hospital. Unfortunately, the young woman who was driving the light motor vehicle was declared dead on the scene.
“The cause of the accident is unknown and the scene was handed over to the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) for further investigation,” Jones said.
