Motorcycle clubs support less fortunate children

During the day, attendees indulged in delicious food and all kinds of refreshments. A live music performance kept the crowd well entertained throughout the day.

The Crusaders MC Babarayaans held a family fun day to raise funds for abused children.

The day-long charity event was held at the clubhouse located at 44 Pretoria Road, Comet, on November 24.

One of the event organisers, Clive Basson, said although they didn’t get the expected turnout, the event was a great success as dozens of members of the different motorcycle clubs showed up to support the initiative.

The proceeds from the sale of tickets, food and refreshments will go towards a Meyersdal-based centre that takes care of abused children.

The club didn’t immediately disclose the total amount collected during the event, saying they will only have the correct figure in their next meeting to be held in a week’s time.
