Freeway Parl learners support the Animal Anti-Cruelty League

The school has pulled out all the stops this year to help the AACL.

Freeway Park Primary learners recently donated a significant number of small change collection tins, as well as canned food, to the Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) in Johannesburg.

A compassionate animal lover and HOD at the school, Linda Frohlich, coordinated this collection drive and got learners excited and motivated to participate.

There was also a competition to see which class collects the most money to help the animals in need.

The League’s education officer, Johann Steenkamp, said: “The AACL is grateful for the support. It goes without saying just how much we appreciate their hard work and kindness.

“All the tins will now be counted by the AACL to see the end result and to also find out which class collected the most.”
