Kruger confirms he is out of EFC until further notice

The EFC warrior said that fighting is of no priority to him as he considers himself retired.

EFC middleweight fighter JP ‘Tinkerbell’ Kruger has confirmed it remains to be seen if he will return to the hexagon.

Kruger’s last appearance in an EFC hexagon was a little over two years ago when he lost to England international Yannick Bahati for the then vacant EFC middleweight title, which is now held by the dual champion, Dricus du Plessis.

Du Plessis is also the welterweight champion.

“I’m coaching a lot and I have some amazing up-and-coming talent also entering the EFC arena. I’m focusing on Brazilian jiu-jitsu/grappling tournaments,” said Kruger, who recently became a father to a daughter, Emmalyn.

“For now, I’m not getting back into the cage; I want to spend my time being a great daddy to my baby girl and husband to my wife. I also want to help my champs reach their dreams and change the lives.

Kruger recently participated in an Abu Dhabi Combat Club grappling tournament along with former EFC heavyweight champion, Boksburg’s Ruan ‘Fangzz’ Potts.

Out of his three bouts, he won gold in his under-99kg division against Neil du Plessis and another gold against Adam Speechly in the absolute division (no weight restrictions).

He also faced Potts in an absolute division bout, with the latter taking the spoils and denying Kruger a hat-trick of gold.

Kruger’s EFC record is 7-2.
