A heavily armed gang of thugs robbed a business on Brakpan Road, Boksburg East industrial area, in broad daylight on July 23.
According to the Boksburg SAPS spokesperson, Sgt Cebisa Maseko, the factory was robbed by a gang of about four men, who arrived at the business driving in a silver and white vehicle.
“They first stopped at the gate and pretended that they were there to see the manager of the company. They then accosted the security guard, took out their firearms and aimed them at the security guard,” said Maseko.
“Thereupon, the suspects forced the guard to go with them into the factory where they made her and staff members, as well as customers, lie down on the floor.
“They stole cash from the cash register, stock, the victims’ cellphones, clothing, jewellery and other valuable items, before fleeing the scene in their vehicle,” said Maseko.
