Boksburg High Interact Club goes all out for the needy

They started off the year with a bang raising over R15 460 for their annual Valentine’s Day fund-raiser.

The Boksburg High Interact Club has been busy this year by reaching out to the needy community of Boksburg.

Apart from the Valentine’s Day fund-raiser,  they have done a stationery drive fund-raiser were the learners brought new or used stationery to support Urban Ruins and New Beginnings Care Centre.

They were able to put together 60 complete stationery packs and loads of spares.

They also hosted a slippers and socks fund-raising day to raise money for food parcels and they spent an afternoon at Urban Ruins where they had a slam poetry session, painted some graffiti and helped the kids read.

In line with Worker’s Day, the Interact learners volunteered to help the school’s ground staff one afternoon where they cleaned classrooms, realising the hard work it takes and the appreciation of the work they do.

Kayla Malan (educator) thanked the Boksburg Lake Rotary and Rotary Anns for the constant support.
