Soul Train to rock Carnival City this Saturday

Guests are encouraged to wear blue and white.

The Festival Lawns at Carnival City will be the playground for a mix of diverse artists and DJs when Soul Train sweeps into Gauteng for this year’s instalment of the event on May 5.

Taking to the stage at Soul Train 2018 are Musa Sukwene and Lady Zamar, as well top DJs from Power FM, Kaya FM and Metro FM, including the likes of Wilson B Nkosi, T-Bose, Sentle, Bob Mabena, Georgie Munetsi, Msizi Shembe, Mo-G, Amon and Ismail Abraham and loads more.

This much-loved music festival is the brainchild of M&S Events who is also known for hosting the biggest picnics in Ekurhuleni and Heidelberg, including the Hawaiian Picnic.

Musa, who needs no introduction, is set to bring fans yet another energetic but soulful performance. The winner of Season Nine of the wildly popular Idols SA competition and known for his very controversial hit song Mthande, he is ready to take to the stage in true Musa-style.

Lady Zamar, one of Mzanzi and SA’s hottest music sensations, is set to wow her audience with breathtakingly beautiful vocals as always. Hailing from Tembisa, Yamikan Janet Banda has always loved music.

Although she had planned to teach English in Korea, she changed her mind and decided to bless South Africans with her excellent music instead.

“This multi-talented songstress is a vocal powerhouse and we know all her fans, old and new, are going to love seeing her and the others collaborate to bring to music lovers the time of their lives at Soul Train,” says Michelle Smith, marketing manager at Carnival City.

The outdoor session takes place from 11am until late.
