Jet Park Business Precinct tackles issues of crime and service delivery

The JPBP deals with numerous issues and does so with the support of its security service provider, CMS

The Jet Park Business Precinct (JPBP), which has been in existence since 2008, acts as a watchdog against crime and service delivery related matters.

The Precinct’s committee consists of six people who have been chosen by the community because of their vast knowledge of the area and its people.

JPBP chairperson Destiny Elske said: “The establishment of the precinct was a direct result of a need in the community to create something sustainable that could somehow bring together the community to work hand-in-hand in creating a better security around Jet Park.

Some of the service delivery issues these businesses have faced are the poor state of the roads, water, electricity, overflowing sewerage, and blocked stormwater drains.

Elske said the JPBP has successfully managed to meet its goals through the dedication and interest of the committee.

She said since their establishment, their function remains to create a viable environment of employment and for them to act as a channel that can speak to the police, the CPF and the municipality.
