Suspects nabbed in Boksburg CBD for dealing in mandrax, dagga

According to the EMPD, the residence in Church Street was monitored for some time before the metro police pounced.

Following up on information received from concerned members of the location in and around Church Street in Boksburg CBD, the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit members arrested two men for possession as well as suspected dealing in narcotics.

The arrests took place on Monday, April 30 at around 3pm.

This is according Chief Superintendent Wilfred Kgasago, EMPD spokesperson.

The seized drugs and cash.

Two men, one in possession of mandrax tablets valued at R900 and the other with dagga estimated at R250 were handcuffed.

“The arrested pair aged 49 and 53, were detained at Boksburg police station on charges of possession and dealing in drugs,” said Kgasago.

They are expected to appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
