R30 000 worth of goods stolen from a Parkrand home

The following incidents were reported within the Boksburg Police Station precincts:

Boksburg SAPS

 

Burgled

In Parkrand, thugs forced their way into a residential house while the occupants continued to sleep and stole goods worth about R30 000 on December 3. The stolen goods included a TV set, DVD player, sound system and other items.

Killed

Boksburg police are investigating the death of a man who was killed in Angelo informal settlement at about 10pm on Friday, December 1. Police were called to the scene and found the body of the man lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the back of his head.

Theft of motor vehicle

A man had his maroon Toyota Tazz stolen in Kaap Street, Boksburg CBD on Friday morning, December 1.

Boksburg North SAPS:

Possession of stolen property

The SAPS arrested a man believed to be targeting shops at East Rand Mall after he was found in possession of stolen duvets on November 30.

According to Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson Cap Juanita Coetzer, mall security personnel received information about a man stealing duvets from one of the shops.

An officer spotted the person matching the suspect’s description and approached him. When the suspect dropped his loot and ran, the officer gave chase and managed to apprehend the suspect, whom he later handed over to the police.
