According to Boksburg SAPS spokesperson Sgt Cebisa Maseko, police officers arrived at the scene of the crime and found the victim lying on the ground where he was certified dead by paramedics.
“Preliminary reports indicate that the attackers shot the deceased before they drove away in his car,” said Maseko.
In another hijacking, three armed criminals hijacked a car in Lilianton, near the Sasol garage on the corner of Field and Main Reef roads, at around 2am on the morning of October 15.
One shot was fired during the hijacking.
The hijacked car was found dumped near Main Reef Road in Primrose.
No arrests have been made in connection with these incidents, but investigations continue. -@FanieFLK
