According to the Boksburg North SAPS communications officer, Capt Juanita Coetzer, prior to the shooting at around 7pm the suspect entered the hotel and appeared to be looking for someone specific.
“He did not find the person he was looking for and left,” said Coetzer.
A short while later the two victims arrived at the hotel to play some pool game.
“Suddenly the suspect appeared in the doorway and fired directly at the two victims and fled the scene,” said Coetzer.
One of the men was critically injured and the other one only slightly.
Both victims left the scene to seek medical assistance at Tambo Memorial Hospital.
Police are investigating the incident.
