Support estate agency’s bid to honour late Madiba

Gerald Grose Estates will be honouring the late Madiba during the month of July by hosting a charity drive for the St Francis Care Centre.

The centre is in desperate need of any food and baby items as well as other general needs.

Gerald Grose Estates is hosting a drive on July 16, from 8am to 1pm, at the Parkdene Centre, on the corner of Waterson Street and Lancaster Road, Parkdene.

The company will be collecting any donations.

Donations may also be dropped off at Gerald Grose Estates office (147 Heidelberg Road, Boksburg South) or contact their office on 011 917 3096 and the staff will collect from you.

Below is the St Francis Care Centre wish list, however, any item, including old clothes, blankets and toys will be gladly appreciated.

Daily needs of the centre: Rooibos tea; sugar; all tinned foods (beans, pilchards, sweetcorn, soup); jam; peanut butter; Maltabella; washing powder; bleach; garbage bags; margarine; juice.

The Rainbow Cottage: Baby formula (Lactogen number 1, 2 and 3); Vaseline, aqueous cream; baby wet wipes; children’s nappies (medium and large); baby porridge; winter underwear and socks for boys and girls.

Adult palliative care unit: Adult nappies (large); disposable aprons, gloves, masks and linen savers; white cupboard doorknobs.

General needs: A4 size printing or photocopying paper; envelopes; sponsor to print new pamphlets for the centre.
