Woodlands Interact raises funds for Gift of the Givers
Woodlands Interact members have had an eventful last couple of weeks raising funds for two community projects.
In their efforts to raise funds for drought-stricken areas they recently held a fundraising evening at the Atlasville Spur on March 19.
The money raised was donated to the Gift of the Givers, which will use it to assist in providing borehole water to places in desperate need of water.
The total amount of R1 800 donated was in addition to the water and storage tanks already donated to Project Hydrate last month.
Another fundraising event was held at the Spur on April 2, where a total amount of R3 100 was raised, to be donated to assist the Pilanesberg Game Reserve in preserving and rescuing the rhinos.
* Interact club members spent their Easter Saturday at St Francis Home in Boksburg, enjoying the company of the children there and providing them with some fun, games and Easter eggs.
