Dogs dress up for good cause
Achievers Puppy School collected a whole lot of food, including much needed tinned food, for the Boksburg SPCA, at its annual Fancy Dress event.
The function was held at the Scout Hall in Farrar Park, on October 23, and all owners and their dogs came dressed up according to a specific theme, which was The Universe, for 2015.
Dionne Annandale and her German Shepherd, named Strider, were crowned best dressed.
Lynette Verster and her Belgium Shepherd, Casey, came second and Susan Sale and her Great Dane, Merlin, were placed third.
Participants only had to donate food for the animals at the Boksburg SPCA as an entrance fee.
Cash donations were also given by the participants for the society to purchase more food.
The Boksburg SPCA expressed its thankfulness for this initiative by Achievers Puppy School, which is owned by trainer Stephanie Zietsman.
