“Kevin a great fighter” – Muller
Nashua Hammer Gym boxer Johnny ‘The Hurricane’ Muller has heaped praise at Kevin ‘KO Kid’ Lerena following their titanic clash at Emperors Palace on Saturday, November 15.
Muller and Lerena came head-to-head in their ten-round cruiserweight bout which went the distance, with The Hurricane emerging as the victor winning 97-93 on two cards and 98-92 on the third in their entertaining battle.
“Winning the fight was great,” said the SA light-heavyweight and WBC silver belt champion.
“Kevin is a great fighter; he gave me a hard time. He is a really good fighter.”
The 24-year-old expressed his delight at fighting in the cruiserweight division.
Lerena and Muller are scheduled to star in the same tournament again in Golden Gloves’ next edition at the same venue in March next year. – @SabeloBoksburg
