The essay question, ‘Are we walking in the footsteps of OR Tambo?’, aims to unleash the writing potential among learners and challenge them to reflect on the principled life that was led by the struggle icon.
The learners will be required to do research and visit the exhibitions currently on display at libraries across the city, in order to obtain information on Tambo’s life and legacy, focusing on what he stood for.
The entry forms are available at the libraries and the closing date for submission is October 23.
Winners stand a chance to win tablets, e-book readers and MP3 players. The prizegiving ceremony will take place during the OR Tambo Memorial Lecture gala dinner on October 27.
At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
