Nitro Raceway to hold drag racing fiesta
Nitro Raceway, situated at the Brakpan/Benoni Airport, will host the second round of its SA Top 20 Fastest Street Racing Outlaws drag racing event on Sunday, August 3.
Gates open from 8am with racing set for a 10am start.
The first round took place on June 8, at the same venue where Boksburg racer and Nitro Raceway owner Isabel Greyvenstein cleared the field in the quarter mile (400m) race in her Skyline GT-R to finish first and secure her SA Top 20 number one status.
Second place finisher during the first round, Manny Marinho, could have another bite at the champion for her number one spot should he pose another challenge and Greyvenstein accepts.
All drivers are welcomed to join in on the spectacle, but only a maximum of 10 entries will be allowed on the day.
No racing fee is required, but all interested drivers must have a Motorsport South Africa license to enter. Race rules can be found on the Nitro Raceway website at www.nitroraceway.cc.
