Two bus routes for Gautrain Rhodesfield Station

The Gautrain Rhodesfield Station has two bus routes - Kempton Park and Emperors Palace.

There are no routes from the Boksburg CBD.

Dr Barbara Jensen, from Gautrain, says that from Boksburg the option would be to take the Metrorail service to Rhodesfield Station or to Johannesburg Park station, then transfer onto the Gautrain service.

“A valid gold card is required when using the Gautrain bus, since no cash is accepted.

“The Gautrain service, which includes parking, bus and train, is fully integrated, and may be used jointly or separately,” she says.

For a rail user it is R6 (valid for using the Gautrain train service and bus within one hour of each other), and a standard R20 fare for non-rail users that uses only the bus service.

Users can download the Gautrain App or visit www.gautrain.co.za or call the call centre on 0800 428 87246 for more information on fares and Gautrain services. – @CarmenBoksburg
