Music at St Dominics from the Centenary Crossover

Theatreworks South Africa is presenting another special and unusual programme titled Music from the Centenary Crossover as part of the "Music at St Dominics" concert series to be held at St Dominic’s High School for Girls on Wednesday, May 28.

The music to be presented was composed during the end of the 19th Century and the beginning of the 20th Century.

The repertoire for this evening’s concert will be:

* Dvorak’s Piano Trio No.4 in E minor (1891).

* Vaughan Williams’s On Wenlock Edge for Tenor and String Quintet (1909).

* Piazzolla’s Estaciones Portenas for Piano Trio (1970).

The performers in this concert will be the largest that has performed at this series since its inception.

They are:

Strings: Ludwig Steyl (violin), Elmarie van der Vyver( violin), Tessa Olivier (viola)and Nicola Johannes (cello).

Piano: Annalien Ball and Tessa Olivier.

Tenor: Sandile Mabaso.

The performance will begin at 6.30pm and snacks and sherry will be served at 6pm.
