Thekwini College students protest at Asherville campus

Students at Thekwini FET Colleges protested at the Asherville Campus in Sydenham this morning, when management failed to come back to them with answers to their memorandum.

A memorandum was handed to management at a meeting in Umbilo on 28 January, and included issues relating to racism, bursary concerns, the fact lecturers were not qualified to teach certain subjects, and the fact they have no text books, and have had less than two-months’ worth of lectures this year, however they will be expected to write exams next month.

Management have not come back to students regarding any of these issues.
