The social security agency said that the successful candidates can collect their money from the South African Post Office and that collection must be made before November, 30 2021.

“Payments not withdrawn by any beneficiary by the end of November 2021 will be forfeited to the State to fund other government priorities,” said SASSA.

Memela-Khambula said this is an early Christmas for the first cycle’s approved beneficiaries who could not claim their benefits at the South African Post Office.

She noted that this special grant goes a long way to assist the most vulnerable in society.

“We urge approved clients, who have unclaimed funds from the previous cycle, to collect them as soon as possible,” said SASSA’s CEO.
