Finding Sugar Man was never sweeter

Cold Fact - a musical tribute to Rodriguez's music - will be at Rhumbelow Theatre.

WHO would have known that an unknown album from an unknown artist in 1970 would become a phenomenon in South Africa? As the music of Rodriguez becomes a cult hit in South Africa, Cold Fact – Rodriguez, a musical tribute to Rodriguez’s music is performed by Barry Thomson and ‘The Reals’ (Dawn Selby, Mali Sewell and Trevor Donjeany).

The show takes place at the Rhumbelow Theatre at Tina’s Hotel in Kloof. Catch a performance on Friday, 26 March at 7.30pm, on Saturday, 27 March at 7.30pm or on Sunday, 28 March at 2pm.

The show features songs such as I Wonder, Establishment Blues and Sugar Man.

In line with Covid-19 protocols, all seating will be at separate tables and the theatre will be seating co-habiting couples and/or family members together. There is limited secure parking available. The audience will be limited to a capacity 50 people.

Tickets are R160 and there are five meal options available at a cost of R100 each. The meals are offered in support of Tina’s Hotel, with the aim of keeping the restaurant afloat after a tough financial hit during the Covid-19 lockdown.

As the hotel is running on a reduced kitchen staff compliment, all show meals need to be ordered when the booking is made.
