Festive greetings
In the not too distant future and with 20/20 hindsight, we will all gaze back at the year 2020 and acknowledge it for both its brutality and its blessings.
It presented us with many challenges, delivered as many discoveries, and dictated many adjustments.
The lockdown challenged our boundaries and freedom. It helped us to discover truths – about ourselves – about those in power and much more.
We learned to be resilient despite those adjustments that were forced upon us. It also encouraged us to choose and implement adjustments in terms of those things that do not serve a purpose anymore. We re-evaluated the purpose of what we do and how we do it.
Many will carry physical scars forward as a result of GBV. Many more though, will bear the mental scars caused by business closures, retrenchments and burn-out, for the rest of their lives.
I don’t know where you find yourself within this storm, but the only way to get through it is to go with the flow – do what is required when it is required and don’t think about it too much. If you can help someone – do it!
Our roads are notoriously dangerous over this time so please don’t drink and drive and do not use your phone while driving.
