Lupa Trio perform Beethoven

In this programme, the Lupa Trio will perform two of Beethoven’s String Trios, in G major and in D major.

THE Lupa Trio play Beethoven’s String Trios at St Thomas Church, Musgrave Road on Sunday, 6 December at 11am.

Lupa Trio comprises three accomplished string players, Aristide du Plessis (cello), Ralitza Macheva (violin) and Annamaria D’Andrea (viola). They are musicians with the KZNPO, as well as having distinguished careers as ensemble and solo musicians.

In this programme, the Lupa Trio will perform two of Beethoven’s String Trios, in G major and in D major. Beethoven composed his three string trios in 1797 and 1798 in Vienna. At the time of publication, the 28-year-old Beethoven regarded the trios as his best compositions.

This concert forms part of the popular chamber series that has been happening on Sunday mornings at St Thomas Church. Tickets can be booked by contacting or sending a WhatsApp to Aristide on 076 159 5771 or emailing aduplessis1989@gmail.com.

Tickets are R100 with concessions of R80 for pensioners and students and must be pre-booked before the day.
