Manhart-tuned Porsche 911 Turbo S is now a 432kW bruiser

German car-tuning firm, Manhart Performance is widely known for its works on German cars, and its recent project involves making the new Porsche 911.2 Turbo S model even more potent.

Manhart calls it the TR 850 and its stock power output of 432kW and 700Nm has been upped to a stunning 634kW (hence the 850 designation) and a whopping 1 090Nm of torque.

All that power is sent to all four corners. All this was achieved by installing upgrades to the 3,8-litre boxer engine, thus the two VTG turbochargers were optimised for greater charging efficiency. Manhart installed a new intercooler, as well as an IPD aluminum intake system, including a BMC sports air filter.

There is a new exhaust system, with Manhart downpipes and stainless steel rear silencers with valve control. With great power comes great responsibility, hence Manhart also upgraded the dual-clutch transmission with more resilient clutches and software optimisation.

Speaking of performance, the TR 850 is able to dash from a standstill to 100km/h in 2,4 seconds en route to a capped top speed of 330km/h.

For the record, it also hurdles from a standstill to 200km/h in 4,9 seconds. It runs on Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S high-performance tyres that measure 255/30ZR21 on the front and 325/25ZR21 on the rear.

It sits 30mm lower than the stock model and according to Manhart, that ensures even more crisp handling. For an additional price, buyers can upgrade the braking system as well as the exterior and interior styling of the TR 850.
