Centre for Jazz hosts online concerts

UKZN's Centre for Jazz and Popular Music invites the public to support its social distancing online concerts.

THE Centre for Jazz and Popular Music in conjunction with iSupport Creative Business will present a weekly concert, featuring three artists

Weekly performances at the Centre were suspended due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Artists are looking to technology and social media as a potential stop gap measure that could offer practitioners some financial recourse in the face of months of work that evaporated in a matter of days.

Shows are on a Wednesday. To watch the concert there is a charge of minimum R30 and once sending the Proof of Payment the audience will receive a link to the concert. The full contribution of the audience will go straight to the artist The group takes great pride in the curation of these concerts that ensures that the broad range of music on offer is of a consistently high standard.

You can also submit previously recorded videos that are not widely available on the internet, and are part of your personal archive.
