Folk singer performs

Tom Bugwandeen has trained in Hindustani Classical Music.

THE legendary Tom Bugwandeen promises to entertain music lovers at the Pattundeen Theatre at Aryan Benevolent Home (ABH), 80 Arena Park Drive, Chatsworth, on 7 March at 7pm.

The singer spent two years at the Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan where he trained in Hindustani Classical Music. After returning to South Africa, Tom continued his musical journey. By the 1980s and 1990s he was a household name, known for his rendition of popular Bhojpuri folk songs. His CD will be available at the concert.
