Master drummer performs in Durban
Drummer, Ayanda Sikade, will perform at Alliance Francaise in Durban this month.
MASTER drummer Ayanda Sikade will perform with his trio at Alliance Francaise, 22 Sutton Crescent, Morningside, on Friday, 28 February.
His compositions and live performances draw inspiration from masters like John Coltrane and Zim Nqawana, who was his mentor for many years. Joining Sikade on stage will be two musicians in their own right, pianist Sibusiso Mash Mashiloane, and Leon Scharnick on alto saxophone.
Doors for the event open at 6pm, with the concert at 7pm. Tickets are R100 each and can be booked through Alliance Francaise: info.afdbn@alliance.org.za or 031 312 9582.
