RHUMBELOW Theatre, Umbilo, presents The Great Gatsby Party with Platform Jazz on Saturday, 18 and Sunday, 19 January, and Friday, 24 to Sunday, 26 January.
The show will entertain with hot jazz numbers such as Puttin on the ritz, The Sheik of Araby, Aint Misbehavin’, Chicago and more.

Platform Jazz is Cathy Peacock on trumpet, Kirsten Sayers on clarinet, Jeff Robinson on sax and newcomer Andrea Bolloco on trombone complete the frontline, with Melvin Peters on keys, Bruce Baker on drums and Andreas Kappen on bass complete the rhythm section. Durban actor Bryan Hiles is on vocals.
The shows are at 8pm, with the show at 2pm on Sunday. Take food picnic baskets.

The venue opens 90 minutes before the show. Braais will be available should you wish to cook some meat. Tickets are R160, and R140 concessions. Tickets are R130 each for block bookings of eight or more.
