Award-winning singer performs at UKZN

In 2015 Simtha Mtolo was awarded the first prize for East Coast Radio’s Be The Band Competition.

THE Centre for Jazz and Popular Music presents Simthandile Mtolo on Wednesday, 7 August at 6pm.

Simthandile holds over a decade of experience in the live entertainment industry as a professional performer and live entertainment specialist. She comes from a family that loves music.

In 2015 Simtha was awarded the first prize for East Coast Radio’s Be The Band Competition which she won a R50 000 music hamper for, as well as the chance to perform at The BP Durban Day where she shared a stage with Prime Circle, Thandiswa Mazwai and Mafikizolo, to name a few.

Join Simthandile Mtolo with Lindo Swing on keys, Talent Mbatha on bass and Lunga Myeni on drums at The Centre for Jazz and Popular music (CJPM), Level 2, Shepstone Building at UKZN Howard College Campus. Doors open at 5.30pm and the show starts at 6pm.
