Fun day out at Music at the Lake

Mi Casa and friends performed at the Old Mutual Music at the Lake on Sunday, 30 June.

BEAUTIFUL weather, some of South Africa’s best musical acts and more than 2 500 Durbanites all came together at this year’s first Old Mutual Music at the Lake on Sunday.

Music lovers enjoyed the sounds of Nipho Hurd, Cape Town band Hot Water, local Uber-driving, opera-singing sensation Menzi Mngoma and headliners, Mi Casa. The group, with their energetic vibe, got people of all ages to their feet with old favourites and sneak peeks at some of the band’s new music.

Old Mutual Sponsorship Manager Bandile Mngoma said: “We are delighted to be back at Music at the Lake. The line-up added to a fun-filled family day and a great start to our return to the Music at the Lake series.”

The next Music at the Lakes concert is on Sunday, 28 July, featuring Freshlyground, Majozi and Louise Carver. Tickets are available via www.webtickets.co.za.
