Celebrating 20 Years of artistic excellence

In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the Kala Darshan will be staging the annual student showcase and awards presentation, Raagrang.

IN celebration of its 20th anniversary, the Kala Darshan – Institute of Classical Music and Dance, will stage its annual student showcase and awards presentation, Raagrang, An evening of classical music and dance, on 6 July at the Rajput Hall, 9 Trishula Avenue, Chatsworth, at 6pm.

Produced and directed by Manesh Maharaj, Raagrang focuses on music and dance as a medium towards spiritual enlightenment. Over sixty classically trained students in the fields of Sitar, Harmonium, Tabla, Vocal and Kathak will come together on one stage to perform Ragas and rhythms, through rhythms and dance.

Tickets priced at R60 each will be available at the door prior to the performance.
