Honour the elderly at movie fundraiser

The Tafta Old School Movie Night, a traditional Family Drive-in Movie Night and market experience, will be at the Durban Country Club on Friday, 29 March.

EXPERIENCE an old school movie night and help The Association for the Aged (Tafta) raise awareness around the necessity of elder care.

According to the association, the importance of building community spirit and creating platforms for intergenerational bonding across as many public spaces as possible has never been as important as it is right now.

“The ageing population is growing at a rapid rate and we need to come together as a community to start making societal changes that will see us caring for our elders now and into the future. This year, Tafta’s focus is to create awareness of the roles younger generations play in creating a life worth living for our older counterparts by recognising and honouring them for their lifetime of service in creating better lives for us all,” explained Tafta CEO Femada Shamam.
