Argentinian musicians for UKZN

This acoustic collaborative project started with the aim to explore the musical connection between Africa and South America.

THE Centre for Jazz and Popular Music presents bass player Ariel Zamonsky and vocalist Juana Pires Rafael on Wednesday, 27 February at 6pm.

This acoustic collaborative project started with the aim to explore the musical connection between Africa and South America. Being two Argentinians living abroad, Ariel and Juana both felt the necessity to acknowledge their musical heritage and fuse it with the musical influences that they have been exposed to throughout their careers, in order to build a personal and relevant sound.
