Niathi Zuma live at The Rainbow

The album launch features a wide array of culturally and musically diverse musicians.

EMERGING jazz artists Niathi Zuma, will launch his debut album Unyana Wom’ntu (Umsamarayi), at The Rainbow Jazz Club in Pinetown on Saturday 22 September from 4pm.

Zuma’s optimistic and appreciative outlook on life has managed to create an empowering and uplifting album, full of promise.

According to the artist, the music has a very mature sound yet also accommodates and relates to a young market, as the message of the songs are generally inspired by life experiences and restoring hope to those who’ve lost all hope.

The album launch features a wide array of culturally and musically diverse musicians, all Durbanites. Zuma handles vocals and is joined by Ayanda Sosisibo on bass, Mzamo Zungu on drums, Nhlanhla Xulu on keyboards, Kwenza Mhlambo on guitar, Nhlanhla Mletsane on trumpet, Nathi Ntshangase on trombone and horns.
