The Diwali Shopping Festival will showcase wares and delights from local and international exhibitors.

THE festival of Diwali may still be a few months away, but it’s never too early to get your shopping done.

Whether you’re going to be celebrating Diwali or you just love the Indian Culture, the Diwali Shopping Festival at Greyville Racecourse from 17 August to 2 September will showcase wares and delights from local and international exhibitors.

Boasting the very best in international Indian clothing, cosmetic jewellery, make-up, silk carpets, homeware, astrologer and more, walk the lanes of “India” and take in the sights and sounds of true Indian fashions and accessories.

You’ll find intricately detailed and exquisite saris, perfectly cut and styled Punjabis or the bridal gown of your dreams. An Indian shopping experience cannot go without traditional Indian cuisine, of which there will be plenty of options.

The festival is open to the public from 11am to 9pm daily. Entry is R10 per person, but entry gets refunded once a patron has spent R300 or more. Free secure parking available at the venue.
