Take a train to craft fest

The festival includes live music, food vendors, vendors specialising in hand-crafted beer, crafters showcasing their talent and a kids' play area.

THE Holiday Express, operating the modern KZN Business Express, has arranged a family orientated one-day train outing to the Shongweni Farmers and Craft Market on 9 August for the market’s Craft Fest.

The festival includes a live music stage with Bad Peter, black Whiskey, Simpl3 Stori3s and acoustic duo Qadasi and Maqhinga, vendors, more than 15 vendors specialising in hand-crafted beer, funky cocktails, mocktails and gin and tonic on tap, unique crafters showcasing their talent and a kids’ play area within the festival.

The Holiday Express departs at 8am from the Premier Lounge, Durban Station (Jelf Taylor Street) with its own private platform. Convenient, boom-protected parking is available immediately outside the Lounge.

The train will arrive in Shongweni at 9.30am and departs at 2pm.

Tickets are R280 for adults plus R100 Craft Fest entrance, R230 for pensioners plus a R100 Craft Fest entrance Fee, R230 for children aged 12 to 17 years, plus a R50 entrance to the Craft Fest Entrance and R230 for children aged two to 12 years, entrance to the Craft Fest is free.
