Durban comedian presents new show

Mervyn from Durban is a personal take on the funny side of growing up in Durban.

MERVYN Pillay’s new stand-up show plays on 27 and 28 April at the iZulu Theatre, Sibaya Casino.

Mervyn from Durban is a personal take on the funny side of growing up in Durban, and the comedian will take the audience on a journey of the many experiences he has had over the years from childhood to adulthood.

From our honourable members of parliament, parastatals, the municipality, service delivery, thick people, narcissist celebrities, gold diggers,sugar daddies to fake people, none will be spared.

Mervyn who describes himself as a “Proudly South African Durbanite of Indian Origin” has 30 years of stage experience under his belt with performances throughout SA.

Mervyn prides his style of comedy with body language, voice impressions and celebrity imitations with many of his past solo shows featuring a little of everything including dance imitations.

The show carries a 13 age restriction and is 90 minutes in duration.

Tickets at R100 and R120 are from all Computicket outlets, the Sibaya Casino Box Office, Shoprite and Checkers.
